Don’t Judge Me

Wk 7 Jesus “The Final Judge”

Revelation 20:11-15

June 4, 2023

John Arobio

For the last six weeks we have been looking at the judges in the Old Testament. God would send a judge (a savoir) to lead them, defeat the enemy and bring the people back to God.

Now we are going to jump forward thousands of years and look at the final judge.

This judge has not yet come but has been prophesied and will come at the end of the tribulation to save the people when all nations of the world come to Armageddon to attack the people of God in the final battle. When we look at Revelation, we will see the return of Jesus the Christ on His white horse.

Revelation 19:11, 13-14

Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True and in righteousness He judges and makes war. He us clothed in a robe dipped in blood and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following Him on white horses.

Zechariah 14: 3, 5b

Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. Then the Lord will come with all his holy ones with him.

Great White Throne Judgement-

Who will be the Judge who is on the seat? It is Jesus.

Revelation 20:11

Then I say a great white throne and him who seated on it.

John 5:22

For the Father judges no one but has given all judgement to the Son.

We have seen that is Christ Jesus who will be sitting on the white throne at the end of the millennium period.

Who will be judged at this white throne Judgement?

Anyone and everyone, from the time of Adam until the end of time that did not believe in Jesus.

How will they be judged? On what basis are they being judged?

There will be three books that will be opened for this judgement. It on the basis of these books that the people will be judged.

  1. The Book of the Law. Those who have heard the law will be judged on the basis of the law.

  1. The Book of Our Human Works. In this book will be recoded all the things that everyone has done in their life from the moment of birth until the moment of death

  1. The Book of Life In this book are the names of all those who have accepted Jesus and your name cannot be blotted out of it.

The Bottom Line:

If you do not accept Jesus,

you will face Him and be judged for salvation.

If you accept him, you will not.

     a. Whose name(s) are in there?

Please pray that God will lift up the teaching team to illuminate His Word so that we all may have a better understanding of how critical it is that we tell people about Jesus.  Please continue to pray for our church that God will continue to build us in His image, in His way, in His timing.  Pray for our Pastor and his family.  Do you know that God loves you?  Will you tell someone about what He’s done for you this week?

A Note from Your Pastor-

As we enter summer, the weather is warm, finally! Many of us will be hitting the road going to local lakes, rivers, and other hot spots. We’ll be spending time with friends and family that maybe we do not get to see often. I would encourage you to share your faith with all those you are around this summer season. Maybe not so much with words, but with actions. Be Jesus… be kind, caring, and loving. Remember, church is not the building at 150 Isidor Ct. YOU are that church, YOU are God’s child who was saved by grace from an eternity separated from God and all that is good. It is YOU that is called by God to point people to Jesus and His work on that cross so many years ago. Remember to be safe, have fun, build relationships that glorify our own relationship with Jesus.

I am eternally grateful for each and every one of you! I am looking forward to a great summer, of not only fun, sun and maybe water. But a summer where we beginning a journey through the Bible like none other we have taken together.
