Deep Compassion

Cultivated Relationships

Useful Service

Authentic Living

Radical Generosity

Our Mission-

The Bridge Church exists to build bridges for people to come to Jesus and grow in His grace.

A bridge is something that allows us to get from one point to another when there is something in the way. A river, a big hole, think Grand Canyon. Or something you can’t jump or get around easily.

Our Vision-

The Bridge Church will be highly valued by the unchurched for its commitment to its neighborhood, community, and world.

Acts 2:42

42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all the believers were together and had all things in common; 45 and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need.

A Jesus Focused Church

  1. Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness
  2. Community
  3. Continue to Look Outward
  4. Embrace Curiosity
  5. Be Gentle
  6. Communicate

Luke 19:10

10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Matthew 16:18

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

Psalms 119:105

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

21 but examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good,

James 3:13-18

13 Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.  18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Thank you Pastor Darin for all that you’ve done for God’s Kingdom!

God bless you and your family.

  1. Read the vision of the church. Would you agree this vision fits for our church?
  2. Read Acts 2:45, what is the context of this verse? What do you think it means to be devoted to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship?
  3. What is meant by “had all things in common” in verse 44? Are we commanded to sell our property and possessions like it mentions in verse 45?  Why or why not?
  4. Read Luke 19:10, what is meant by “that which was lost”?
  5. Read Matthew 16:18, what is the rock that Jesus’ church is built on?
  6. How important is the Bible for a Christian? Can you be a Christian and not read the Bible?  Why or why not?
  7. Read Psalm 119:105, what are some of the ways the Bible lights our path? Do you have some practical ways you have seen this in your life?
  8. Darin spoke about being gentle to others. How can we be gentle with others when sharing with them about Jesus?
  9. Read James 3:13-18, what is the difference between “wisdom from above” and “selfish ambition”? What issues will we run into when our own ambition takes over the course of our lives?
  10. Please set aside a time this week to pray for Pastor Darin and his family as they start a new phase of their life.
