WK 4 – “Coming of Jesus as King”

Number 24:8,17; Psalm 72:19; Hosea 11:1

Hosea 11:1 NKJV

“When Isreal was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son”.

The immediate is the Exodus and the people coming into the promise land.

The kingdom is established, first directly under God’s rule, and then under the Kings.

The first king of Israel was____________, his name means __________.

The second king of Israel was __________, his name means ____________.

The third king of Israel was  ___________, his name means ___________.

Balaam is called by Balak, the king of the Moabites.

Numbers 22:6

“Therefore, please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you cursed is cursed.”

. 

Balaam was told to curse the Israelites ____ times.

Instead, he speaks God’s words, blesses them and prophecies _____ times about them.

 Numbers 24:8 NKJV

“God brings him out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox; He shall consume the nations, his enemies; He shall break their bones and pierce them with his arrows,

. 

Numbers 24:17 NKJV

“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come rise out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and batter the brow of Moab, and destroy all the sons of tumult.

 .

These are fulfilled in two parts. The first part is the birth of Jesus. His death and resurrection.

Wise men myths

1) They were at the _______________.

The term King of the Jews is used twice. First it is used by the wise regarding Jesus’s _______. And then it was use at Jesus’s _____________ by the guards.

The second part is not yet fulfilled. When will it be fulfilled? It will be fulfilled at the end of the tribulation when the Lord returns as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will rule for a __________ years while Satan is chained in the _______ _____. Then when Satan is released Jesus will defeat him for the final time. Then Satan, death and hades will be thrown into the fire.

This is the white thrown judgement.

Psalm 72:1-2 NKJV

Give the king Your judgements, O God, and Your righteousness to the king’s Son. ²He will judge your people with righteousness, and Your poor with justice.

 .

Then we have a picture of heaven

Psalm 72:7-8 NKJV

In His days the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is not more. ⁸He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth.

Revelation 21:3-4 NKJV

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

 .

The Bottom Line:

We see the future in this prophecy, and it is that Jesus will return as King of Kings, Lord of Lords. He will judge and rule for all time.
