      • Worship team/leader—play an instrument? Able to carry a tune?  Ready to use that gift for God?
      • Donut & Coffee Ministry—bring in donuts and make that oh so important drink for many of us, coffee!
  • A Search Team will be put together to start the process of finding a new pastor.
    • The typical time to replace a Pastor is 12-18 months. Please wait on the Lord with us!
    • The team will update the church regularly
  • Prayer is a critical part of this process! Please pray continually for the board’s guidance in seeking God’s will.

Series on “Personal Growth” continues this week. This week:  Spiritual gifts and discussion about why there is no physical evidence for a church in Corinth from Paul’s time?  Come out on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the church to get the answers.

  1. What is context? How does context apply to Bible study?

  2. Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-15, what does it mean to fear the Lord? What are some ways we show that we do/do not fear the Lord?

  3. What does it mean in verse 14 when it says, “all died.”? Would there be a Christian religion if Jesus was not “raised again” like verse 15 references?  If Jesus died for all like verse 15 says will everyone be in heaven?

  4. Read Ecclesiastes 3:11, what do you think is meant by this scripture?

  5. Does God always hear us? Why or why not.  Please cite references from scripture.

  6. Read 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, what is a worldly point of view? What is meant by “the old has gone” in verse 17?  What does it mean that we are reconiciled in verse 18?

  7. Does God hold our sins against us? Why or why not?  Read Psalm 32:2, does this scripture apply to everyone?

  8. What does righteousness mean? Are we righteous?  Why or why not?  How do we become the righteousness of God?

  9. If someone who is not a Christian and not raised in/around the church, how would you explain communion to them?

  10. Please continue to pray for the church and God’s guidance to do His will.
