  1. Discuss some of the things that have happened so far in this series?

  2. Read John 6:15-20, why do you think they wanted to take Jesus by force to make Him king? Is God always watching us?  Is God always with us in the storms in our life?  Can you think of/find some scriptures that would support your answer?

  3. Does God test us? If so, what are some of the ways He tests us?  If not, why do you think that is so?

  4. What are some ways we can let anxiety and fear take over our life?

  5. Read Philippians 4:11-12, what are some ways we can have joy in all circumstances? Read verse 13, what do you think it meant by this verse?

  6. Read Philippians 4:6-7, what is the word for “pleading/supplication” in the original language? What is the difference between the word used for pray and pleading?  How can we have “the peace of God” in verse 7?  What is thanksgiving (verse 6)?

  7. Do we typically go to God when we are afraid or have anxiety?

  8. Read John 6:21-23, is there a second miracle that happened that day? What are some things in the Bible that you’ve recently learned or understood that you previously didn’t understand/know?

  9. Can we “find” God? Why or why not?  Read Jeremiah 29:13, what do you think is meant by “with all your heart.”?

  10. What does “sovereign” mean? Is God sovereign?  Does God take us out of every storm in our life?  Why do you think that is so?
