  1. Who are the first 3 God appointed kings of Israel? Can you give some brief comments about each of them?

  2. Does God know everything before it happens? If so, why did God pick Saul to be king if He knew He would fail?

  3. What is the context of 1 Samuel 21?

  4. Read 1 Samuel 21:1-8, do you think David is perhaps lying in these verses? Why or why not?  Is it ever ok to lie?  Is one lie bigger than another?  If you wanted to look up what the Bible says about lying, how would you do it?

  5. What does it mean to be “holy”? Are Christians holy?  Why or why not?

  6. Read Matthew 15:22-28, does God still heal instantly today like verse 28 mentions? What is the significance of this woman being a Caananite?  Why do you think Jesus might reference the people as “dogs” in these verses?

  7. What is faith?

  8. Can you be a Christian and not go to church? Why or why not?  Would you consider going to church a critical function of a Christian?

  9. Read Romans 14:12, what does it mean that we will have to give an account?

  10. Read 1 Samuel 21:9-15, what is the significance of David fleeing to the city of Gath? What are some issues with this choice?

  11. Are you ready to start helping out with God’s Kingdom work? There are so many things behind the scenes that the church needs help with.  Please reach out to Justin to find you.
