  1. What stood out to you the most in this series? What were some things that you learned that you didn’t know before?

  2. What are some ways choices we make in life can affect generations after us?

  3. Read 2 Samuel 1:1-4 Who is David in the Bible? Who is Jonathan?  Why would David be grieved to hear of Jonathan’s passing?

  4. Read 2 Samuel 1:5-8, what is an “Amalekite”? What examples of them do we have in scripture?  In particular what experience did Saul have with them?  What did God tell Saul to do with these people?

  5. Do you think the Amalekite was telling the truth? Why or why not?

  6. Are we able to remove all sin from our life? Why or why not?  Read Colossians 3:5, what is the Greek word for “dead” or “death”?

  7. Read 2 Samuel 1:9-12, what does it mean in the Bible when people tear their clothes? Why do you think David would mourn for Saul?

  8. What does it mean to “repent”? Can you repent of the same thing every day for years?  Why or why not?

  9. Read Psalm 119:11, what are some ways we can hide God’s Word in our heart?

  10. Prayers are needed for our country. Satan will continue his plan of division.  Jesus tells us a house divided against itself cannot stand.  Pray for unity and revival.  God has and will work in seemingly impossible circumstances.

for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
