The Jewish people in the Old Testament had been under several different outside rulers from about 722 BC through the time of Jesus. To God though it hasn’t been a long time:

2 Peter 3:8 NIV

⁸ But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Jesus came to save us from our ______________!

We have freedom in Jesus!

2 Corinthians 3:17 NIV

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

How will people know that we belong to Jesus?

John 13:35 NIV

³⁵ By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Should we argue with unbeliever?

2 Timothy 2:23-26 NJKV

²³ But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. ²⁴ And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, ²⁵ in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, ²⁶ and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Side X Side Christmas Parade of Lights Watch Party

At the church.  Bring your neighbors!  Sat Dec 13 come about 4pm to watch the parade. Event starts at 12 noon w/ vendors and Santa! 500 vehicle Parade starts at sundown. Bring chairs, dress warm we will be outside on the Sidewalk by the driveway entry. Hot chocolate and Hot cider provided .

8. Is it beneficial to argue with non-believers? Why or why not?  Is it beneficial to argue with other believers about Biblical topics?  Why or why not?  What scripture references might help answer these questions?

9. If someone would claim to you that Jesus is not God, what scripture references could you give them to show that He is?
