David is tempted by Satan to number Israel (1 Chronicles 21:1).

4. What does it mean to confess our sins? Can you be a follower of Jesus and not confess your sins?  Must we confess every sin?  Why or why not?

5. Read 2 Samuel 24:3-9, who is Joab? Is it ok to question authority?  Why or why not?  Do you have someone in your life you can mentor?  Do you have someone in your life who can mentor you?  Do you have someone who can tell you point blank when you are doing something wrong?

6. Read 2 Samuel 24:10-13, what do you think it means when it says, “..David’s heart struck him”?

7. What role does the Holy Spirit have? Was the role different in David’s time?  Why or why not.

8. What is sanctification? Do all Christians go through the sanctification process why or why not?

9. Read Isaiah 64:6, what is righteousness? Are Christians considered righteous?  Why or why not?

10. Read 2 Samuel 24:14-17, do you think it is fair that 70,000 people died for what David did? Does God always forgive us?  Is there anything that God does not forgive us for?
