Response to Covid Mandate Changes

Hello Church Family,                                                                                                       Feb. 11, 2021

It is my pleasure to inform you that effective immediately masks will no longer be required at The Bridge Church Spanish Springs. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask that is 100% ok. We will continue to have masks and hand sanitizer for those who would like to use those. We will also continue to provide a live stream for anyone who prefers to stay home. We understand that everyone is different. While some are happy and excited for this change, others may not be. We will do our best to make ALL feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you so much for your patients, understanding and kindness during this very strange and unique time in our world’s history.

In March of 2020 I when received word that public gatherings, including churches were not allowed I was concerned. At that point we were barely two years old and in the middle of a significant upswing. If you’ll recall, we were in the middle of our first financial campaign. Our goal was to raise money to paint and modify our main worship area. This is how we bought the black curtain, paint, and were able to offer Marisza a stipend for her time and effort as worship leader.  We were able to do everything we needed to. We were at the tail end of painting, as those first live streams came into your homes, we were surrounded by paint cans and tools. We really struggled through those first 5-10 live streams, but eventually we grew and learned and now the live stream is as normal and natural as any other part of our service.

When everything came to an abrupt and sudden stop, I was not sure exactly what God had in mind for us. As the weeks and months went by, I saw church after church closing. Many of these churches larger and older than us. Yet God saw us through. It is because of that, I am surer now than ever God has some important plans for The Bridge Church in Spanish Springs. What that is… well, I suppose we’ll find out together as we navigate this post-covid world.

Thank you for sticking it out and remaining faithful. Not only to our church, but to our Great God. So now it’s time to get back to work spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ all though out Spanish Springs and wherever God leads us!

In Christ Alone,

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
