  1. Recap some of the events of the Israelites through their history.

  2. Read 2 Samuel 9:1-6, who is Jonathan in the Bible? Who is Mephibosheth?  If you wanted to look up his name in other places in the Bible, how could you do that?  How many times is his name listed in the Bible?  What do we know about him from scripture?

  3. Does God allow birth defects, physical/mental deformities, etc.? Why or why not? Can sin be the cause of any of these issues?

  4. Read John 9:1-7, does there seem to be multiple ways that Jesus heals in the Bible? Why do you think that is so?  Does God always heal when we ask Him?  What are some of the ways God heals today?

  5. Read 1 Corinthians 13:13, what do you think is meant by this verse? What is the Greek word used for love in this verse? What is love as defined in the Bible?

  6. How does the world know that we are followers of Jesus? If someone told you that you have to be baptized to be saved, could you still love that person?  What Bible verses could you use that refer to baptism?

  7. Read 2 Samuel 9:7-11, what is the significance of David taking in Mephibosheth?

  8. What is faith?

  9. What will heaven be like?

  10. Are Christians held to the law of the Old Testament? Why or why not?  How did people in the Old Testament go to heaven?

  11. Is there someone out there that God has been putting on your heart to talk to about Jesus?  Pray that God would give you the willpower to break through the nerves this week to reach out!
