“I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” – John 8:12
- Jesus ________________ the path for every Christian!
- It’s easy to say that we are Christian and have surrendered our lives to Jesus; our ________ will prove or disprove this statement.

“You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not true.” – John 8:13
- When we give a _______________, we state the facts as we know them.
- The Pharisees were saying that His testimony was not ________ because He was testifying about Himself.

“My testimony is true, because I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.” – John 8:14-16

Being a Christian is not a set of rules and regulations.
It is a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe.

What stands out most to you so far in John’s Gospel? How does John’s gospel differ from the other 3 gospels? How is it similar to the other 3?

Read John 8:12-18, what is the context of this section of scripture? What does it mean to “walk in darkness” (verse 12)? What is a testimony? Does every Christian have a testimony? If willing, share your testimony with the group.

If someone who is not a Christian and has never been affiliated with a church asked you to explain grace, how would you explain it?

What are some ways we can show grace to others? What are some things in the church that might make you uncomfortable? What are some things that you’ve seen other churches do that make you uncomfortable? Can you still have a loving relationship with someone who “does church a little differently”?
